The Shark and the Mermaid

Two young people see each other across a crowded gas station in Forks, and they are both changed,forever. It's likely that they'll never meet, despite being in love, but they do in the shadow of Mount St. Helens. He is half vampire, she is half mermaid, he lives in England, and she in America, the two are hardly right for each other, and yet they are. When her father finds out, he banishes the lad from ever seeing his daughter, and that leaves two young people pining for each other. Then they meet again, and she discovers how her parents have betrayed her. All the same they come together and start a relationship, and all becomes wonderful, or does it? As time goes on they, and their families experience a series of random events, or are they?
