FeedARead Ltd is the data controller for personal information processed in connection with FeedARead.com and FeedARead services.

Depending on how you use FeedARead and its services, we may collect:

• information connected with your FeedARead membership, account or previous use of FeedARead services;

• information relating to books and publishing services, including author or pen names, book titles, manuscripts, book files, cover files and publication information;

• information received from payment providers, printers, distributors, booksellers and other service providers where necessary to provide a service, maintain records or deal with an enquiry; and

We use personal information where necessary to operate FeedARead and provide services requested by authors, members and customers.

This may include administering accounts and records; responding to enquiries; providing publishing and author services; processing and fulfilling orders; arranging printing, production and distribution; recording book sales and royalties; processing payments and refunds; maintaining business, accounting and taxation records; communicating about services and orders; protecting the security and integrity of our systems; preventing or detecting fraud or misuse; and establishing, exercising or defending legal rights.

Our lawful basis will depend on the particular reason for processing the information.

Contract. We process information where this is necessary to provide a service you have requested, fulfil an order or contract, or take steps at your request before entering into a contract.

Payments

Where payments are made through a payment-service provider, information may be processed by that provider in order to complete the transaction.

FeedARead may retain the payment and transaction records reasonably required to administer orders, refunds and accounts and to comply with financial, taxation and other legal obligations.

Who we share information with

FeedARead does not sell personal information.

Where necessary to provide FeedARead's services or operate the business, personal information may be shared with organisations providing services such as payment processing; book production, printing and distribution; delivery; website hosting, email and IT services; accounting and professional advice; and other services necessary to fulfil an order or publishing service.

We may also disclose information where required by law, regulation or a lawful request from a public authority, or where reasonably necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal rights.

If FeedARead or its business or assets were reorganised, transferred or sold, relevant information may form part of that transaction, subject to applicable data-protection law.

Third parties are provided only with personal information reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose.

International processing

Some organisations providing technical, payment or other services may process personal information outside the United Kingdom.

How long we keep information
