The Lights of Cobb & Co and Other Stories

These short stories were written by the author during the years 1990 to 2019. While most of these stories are purely creative, and cover a range of genres, many are mined from the author's own life or her observations of the lives of others. If you have read her memoirs you may recognise parts of some of these stories. Many of the settings are real places, as are some characters, although where appropriate names have been changed. Like most collected works, a number of the stories in this book have been published elsewhere, as noted on the acknowledgements page. Some won prizes in competitions but were not published, others have languished in the author's bottom drawer after being rejected for publication, and a few were written more recently but never submitted to a publisher.
